Dhandi ("Dhandi," "we," "us") is a mobile and web platform for the shooting-volleyball community: player profiles, clubs, tournaments, live scoring, and related features (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1.Information we collect
- Account information: your mobile phone number (used to sign in with one-time codes), your name, and a profile photo of your face (required for player identification at events).
- Community and gameplay information: club and team memberships; skill ratings assigned to you by club leaders; tournament registrations; game schedules, scores, and results; scorekeeper names entered at courts; and entries in tournament audit logs.
- Content you create: messages in club and tournament chats, team names, disputes you file, and similar submissions.
- Payment-related information: Dhandi does not collect or process payments and does not collect card, bank, or payment-app credentials. Organizers and club leaders may display their own payment handles (for example Cash App, Venmo, or Zelle usernames), and payment happens outside the Service. We record only whether an organizer has marked a team's deposit as paid.
- Technical information: device type, app version, IP address, and basic usage logs collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
2.How we use information
- To create and secure your account (including sending one-time sign-in codes by text message);
- To operate clubs, tournaments, registration, brackets, live scoring, standings, and audit logs;
- To display community information to other users as described in Section 4;
- To respond to disputes, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep tournament records trustworthy;
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
- To comply with law.
3.Text messaging (SMS) program disclosure
Program description. Dhandi sends account-related text messages, primarily one-time verification codes used to sign in. You opt in by entering your own phone number on the Dhandi sign-in screen to request a code. Message frequency varies with your use of the Service (for example, one message per sign-in attempt). Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out or get help. Reply STOP to cancel and stop receiving messages, or reply HELP for help. You can also contact us at support@dhandi.app. Note that opting out of sign-in codes may prevent access to your account, since codes are how sign-in works.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and message delivery, is permitted. All other use categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties.
4.What other users can see
Dhandi is a community platform, and some information is visible to other users by design: your name, face photo, club memberships, leader-assigned skill ratings, team rosters, tournament results, live scores, scorekeeper names, and audit-log entries connected to tournaments you participate in or manage. Tournament brackets and live scores may be viewable by spectators, including people without accounts (for example, someone viewing a public bracket or a court scoring page). Do not use the Service if you do not want this community-facing information displayed.
5.When we share information
- Service providers: we use vendors to run the Service — currently Supabase (database, authentication, and realtime infrastructure) and Twilio (text-message delivery). They process data only to provide these services to us.
- Organizers and club leaders: they can see registration, roster, payment-marked status, and tournament-management information for their own events and clubs.
- Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of Dhandi, our users, or the public.
- Business transfer: if Dhandi is acquired or reorganized, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6.Artificial intelligence disclosure
In the spirit of honest disclosure consistent with FTC guidance on AI and automated systems:
- Portions of Dhandi's software, documentation, and app content are developed with the assistance of AI tools.
- Certain product features are automated (for example, bracket generation, standings calculation, and system-generated notifications). Automated entries in tournament logs are labeled as such (for example, "Dhandi (auto)").
- Dhandi does not use AI to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you, does not use AI chatbots that pose as humans, and does not use facial recognition on profile photos — photos are displayed for human identification at events only.
- If we introduce AI features that interact with you or generate content in the future, we will disclose them and update this policy.
7.Data retention and deletion
We keep account information while your account is active. Tournament records and audit logs are retained to preserve the integrity of past events. You may request deletion of your account and personal information by emailing support@dhandi.app; we will delete or de-identify your personal information except where retention is required for legitimate record-keeping (for example, anonymized entries in historical tournament results) or by law.
8.Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections, access controls, and database-level security rules. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9.Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are 13–17, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to our Terms on your behalf. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact support@dhandi.app and we will delete it.
10.Your privacy rights
Depending on your state (including under laws such as the Tennessee Information Protection Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and similar state laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. To exercise any right, email support@dhandi.app from the email or phone associated with your account. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information, so there is no sale to opt out of.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
